To own something that absolutely no one else has is an absolute pleasure. I was so pleased to have found this in Market Cross Antiques in Somerton a few years ago. It is oil on board and painted by living artist Peter Howell who is famed for his equestrian paintings. I fell in love with this and after seeing it still in the window several weeks after seeing it for the first time knew it was going to be mine. OK it cost a few quid but less than a large screen budget TV.
There seems to be a resurgence of small town antique shops and emporiums at the moment and it is amazing what you can pick up for all sorts of budgets.
